Independent GroupObjective: Read The Giver Ch. 20-23 and respond
Due: Complete the Google short answer response questions on Ch. 20-23 The Giver Final Analysis Instructions 1. You will look at The Giver reading and the Google quiz in two different tabs. Have it so you can go back and forth to look at each. 2. Go to Google class and open up the assignment: Ch. 21-23 The Giver Final Analysis. You must also open up The Giver reading in another tab. 3. Read The Giver Ch. 21-23 pages 103-111 while you take the Google quiz. Use this link. https://pelesclass.weebly.com/uploads/1/3/0/5/130509727/the_giver__giver_quartet_book_-_lois_lowry.pdf 4. IMPORTANT: This is different from the previous Giver assignments because there are written responses. Follow all directions closely. You must read the chapters and answer the first two correctly. The other questions are based on the whole book. You should not be answering if you did not read all, or at least, most of the novel. It will be clear to me if you did not read the novel. |

Objective: Complete No Red Ink quizzes based on main grammar topics from this semester
Due: Finish 4 No Red Ink quizzes under the title: Semester 1 Summative Grammar Test *Remind your parents or guardians to reply back to my ParentSquare message with The Giver Movie Permission slip. Students without permission slips will not be able to watch the movie with us next week. If your parent or guardian is not on ParentSquare, he or she must speak to Ms. Nunley to get set up on ParentSquare. Have your parent or guardian email me if there are any problems. If you are not allowed to watch the movie with us, you must still check in during the first five minutes to get credit for attendance. We will have to start the movie on time. Students later than 5 minutes will not be allowed in class and will miss that half of the movie during that class as well as receive an absence. The zoom will be locked after 5 minutes on these days.

4 - Introduction paragraph, all 3 approved body paragraphs, and conclusion paragraph typed fully complete. 3 - 4 paragraphs typed. Essay is missing one paragraph. 2 - 3 paragraphs typed. Essay is missing two paragraphs 1 - 2 paragraphs typed. Essay is missing 3 paragraphs 0 - 1 or less paragraphs are typed. |
