You have two personal quizzes this Thursday, February 4th. One will be on Similes and one will be on Metaphors. Make sure to study your terms and pay close attention in class and participate.
Review the Figurative Language PowerPoint. I will play it from my end. You do not have to open it right now. But there is also a Poetry Figurative Language file for your notes and quick reference. We will use these over the next month as we complete our Poetry unit. Use either of these as needed to study.
Students respond verbally or in chat to check-for-understanding questions throughout the Figurative Language powerpoint.
If any extra time, read some of the students’ limericks who are fully complete. Other students can work on revisions after that.

Again, more time is only going to be given to those with accommodations. Do not waste time. These quizzes need to be finished in class.
If you finish early, make the final revisions of your Limerick. These must be complete or you will receive a 1 or 2 in Illuminate. If you have not completed the first draft of your Limerick, you must see me at 12pm on Friday, February 2nd to turn in and review with me.
